Does the AccuTrigger require a special tool to adjust?
No. You just use a 3/32-inch Allen wrench (included) to turn the screw in the trigger shoe. The adjustment range is 2.5 to 6 pounds. We can show you how at the counter if you stop in.
Will this fit aftermarket stocks like Boyd’s or MDT?
It fits standard Savage Axis short-action stocks. One customer said it was “too tight” in an aftermarket frame — turned out that frame was for a different action. Works fine on the OEM stock and most drop-in replacements.
Does the barrel come threaded under the cap?
Yes. The 20-inch barrel is threaded 5/8×24 from the factory. The cap protects the threads during shipping and storage. Just unscrew it to attach a muzzle brake or suppressor.
