Key Highlights

• Threaded with a good shoulder — the 5/8×24 threads are clean and the shoulder is square. We mounted a Thunder Beast suppressor on one and got zero point-of-impact shift.
• Low copper fouling — after 100 rounds, our bore scope showed minimal copper. Less cleaning time, more shooting.
• Consistent QC — we’ve inspected 25 units and all had uniform carbon wrap, no voids, and straight bores. One customer sent his back because the Cerakote had a tiny blemish — we swapped it same day, no questions.

Cons ❌

• Carbon fiber can be fragile — if you drop the barrel on a sharp rock, the carbon wrap can chip. We’ve seen two customers do that, and Proof won’t warranty damage from drops. Handle with care.
• Not ideal for heavy contour builds — if you’re building a dedicated benchrest gun, you want more weight for stability. This barrel is for hunters and field shooters.
