Is the Equinox Elite compatible with standard P229 holsters?
Yes, the Elite uses the same slide profile and rail as the standard P229. Most P229 holsters will fit, including Kydex, leather, and hybrid designs. The G10 grips are slightly thicker than stock, so molded holsters may be snug at first.
What magazines does this take?
It uses standard P229 9mm magazines. Comes with two 15-round magazines. Factory 17- and 20-round extended mags also work.
Does the Elite finish wear differently than standard Nitron?
The slide is stainless steel with a matte Nitron coating. The frame is hard-coat anodized. The two-tone finish wears evenly over time and shows less holster wear than black-on-black finishes. Some shooters prefer the look of a broken-in Equinox.
