Description
If you’re hunting elk or mule deer out West, or punching tight groups at the range, the Fierce Firearms Carbon Rogue in 7mm PRC with a 20-inch barrel is a hard-hitting, lightweight rig that carries like a dream. We’ve carried this model since early 2024, and it’s become a regular reorder item — consistently popular with our customers who demand a flat-shooting, short-action rifle that doesn’t weigh them down. On our scale, this rifle hit 7.2 oz (barreled action), making it one of the lightest production 7mm PRCs we’ve handled. This is a purpose-built rifle for the hunter who wants to pack far and shoot accurately.
Key Highlights
- 7mm PRC chambering — delivers 7mm Rem Mag energy with less recoil and flatter trajectory, ideal for long-range hunting.
- 20-inch carbon-wrapped barrel — balances maneuverability in timber with velocity retention; threaded 5/8×24 for brakes or suppressors.
- Sub-7-pound total weight — barreled action is 7.2 oz on our scale; complete rifle weighs roughly 6.5 lbs, easy to carry all day.
- TT X-Treme Trigger — factory-set at 2.5 lbs, crisp and adjustable down to 1.5 lbs; no creep out of the box.
- Fierce carbon-fiber stock — bedding block, full-length aluminum chassis, and textured grip panels for a solid, repeatable hold.

What Buyers Ask
Does this rifle come with a muzzle brake?
Yes, it includes a Fierce radial brake that’s factory-installed and timed. The barrel is also threaded 5/8×24 if you want to swap for a suppressor or aftermarket brake. The brake is effective: felt recoil is similar to a .308 Win.
What optics mounting system does this use?
The receiver is drilled and tapped for #8-40 screws and accepts standard Remington 700 short-action bases. We recommend Talley or Seekins one-piece rings for a lightweight, solid setup. We’ve mounted several scopes on these in the shop — no issues with rail alignment.
Is the 20-inch barrel long enough for 7mm PRC velocity?
Yes. We’ve chronographed factory 175-grain ELD-X loads out of this exact rifle: average 2,850 fps at the muzzle. That’s within 50-75 fps of a 24-inch barrel, and you gain a handier rifle. For hunting inside 600 yards, it’s more than adequate. Our staff note: compared to the previous version, the tolerances are noticeably tighter, which helps accuracy.
