- Accuracy: We shot consistent 0.6 MOA five-shot groups at 100 yards with Hornady ELD-M 147 grain. Customers report similar results out to 800 yards.
- Lightweight build: At 7.2 lb total, it’s manageable for a day of spot-and-stalk hunting in the Hoosier National Forest or carrying up a stand.
- Trigger feel: The factory trigger is crisp with zero take-up. We measured pull weight at 2 lb 8 oz on our Lyman digital gauge.
- Stock adjustability: The cheek piece and LOP adjustments lock solid—no wiggle, which matters when you’re dialing for a 400-yard shot on a windy ridge.

- Recoil: The 6.5 PRC in a 7.2 lb rifle kicks harder than a 6.5 Creedmoor. For extended range sessions, consider a muzzle brake (not included).
- Magazine capacity: Three rounds is fine for hunting, but if you’re running a PRS-style match, you’ll want more than one spare mag.

Is the 20” barrel long enough for the 6.5 PRC?
Yes. In our testing, we got 2,950 fps average with Hornady 147 grain ELD-M out of the 20” barrel. That’s only about 50 fps less than a 24” barrel. The shorter barrel keeps the rifle handy for brush hunting.
Does this rifle come with a scope base?
No, it comes with a Picatinny rail already mounted. You just need rings and a scope. We recommend a 20 MOA base if you’re shooting past 600 yards.
What is the warranty on this rifle?
Fierce Firearms offers a lifetime warranty to the original owner. We’ve had a couple of customers call us about minor stock fitment issues, and Fierce handled them quickly.
Can I use this for deer hunting in Indiana?
Absolutely. The 6.5 PRC with a 140-grain bullet is legal for deer in Indiana. Many of our customers use it for whitetail in Brown and Monroe counties. Just make sure you use a soft-point or bonded bullet if you’re hunting in dense cover.
How does the carbon barrel affect accuracy when hot?
We ran a 10-round string rapid fire in 85-degree weather. The point of impact shifted less than 0.3 MOA from the first shot to the tenth. That’s better than some steel barrels we’ve tested.
Does it come with a hard case?
It ships in a soft padded case from Fierce. It’s adequate for transport, but if you’re flying, you’ll want a Pelican or similar hard case.
