Is the extended rail compatible with standard AUG accessories?
Yes, the extended rail uses the same M-LOK slot spacing and a full Picatinny top rail, so any grip, light, or optic that mounts to those standards will work. The rail is a factory Steyr part, not an aftermarket add-on, so fit and finish are consistent with the rest of the gun.
Can I swap the barrel to a shorter or longer length?
Steyr AUG barrels are user-swappable with a simple tool (not included). You can swap to a 14.5″, 18″, or 20″ barrel as long as it is a genuine Steyr barrel. The 16″ is the standard length for general use and gives you good velocity without being too long.
