Yes, it ships with three moon clips from the factory. You can run standard 9mm ammo with them. Without moon clips, the cases won’t extract reliably. We also sell extra moon clips separately if you want spares for the range.
Will this fit my existing J-Frame holster?
Most J-Frame holsters work with the Model 940-3, but check the fit on barrel length and cylinder diameter. The 1.875-inch barrel and standard J-Frame cylinder clear most leather and kydex holsters. If you have a tight fit, we carry a few holsters that are confirmed to work.
