Description
The Savage 110 Ultralite 2026 in .308 Win is a carbon-fiber hunting rifle built for serious backcountry use. It pairs a lightweight Proof Research carbon-fiber barrel with an AccuFit stock to keep weight down without sacrificing accuracy. We’ve sold over 133 of these since late 2024, and customer feedback has been consistently positive — guys report sub-MOA groups right out of the box. Our staff note: the coating is tougher than it looks, holding up through three cleaning cycles with Hoppes. This is a straight-up mountain rifle for hunters who need to cover ground.

What Buyers Ask
Does the carbon fiber barrel heat up faster than steel?
In our experience, the Proof Research carbon wrap actually dissipates heat more evenly than a comparable steel barrel. For hunting use — a few shots at a time — it’s not an issue. If you’re planning high-volume range work, the carbon barrel will still hold up, but it’s not designed for sustained fire like a heavy varmint barrel.
Can I mount a bipod on this stock?
Yes. The AccuFit stock has a sling swivel stud up front that accepts a standard bipod mount. We’ve mounted Harris and Magpul bipods on these with no issues. Just make sure the bipod is snug — the stock is rigid enough to hold zero.
What scope bases does this rifle take?
The receiver is drilled and tapped for Savage short-action bases. We typically recommend a one-piece Picatinny rail for versatility, but two-piece bases work fine. The action is consistent from rifle to rifle, so you shouldn’t need to lap the rings.
