Key Highlights

The Ridgeline FFT Ti is Christensen Arms’ titanium-framed, carbon-fiber-stocked rifle built for .300 PRC. That round is a 190-grain or 225-grain monster pushing 2,950 fps out of a 24-inch barrel. We’ve seen customers take it to Brown County for whitetail and out to Crane for 1,000-yard steel. The action is smooth—three-lug with a short 60-degree bolt lift, which matters when you’re prone in a cold Indiana November. In our testing, the adjustable trigger broke clean at 2 lb 12 oz out of the box with no creep. The carbon stock kept the weight under 7 pounds even with a scope and rings, which is a big deal for a magnum. We measured the rifle at exactly 6 lb 8.5 oz on our bench scale—that’s with the titanium receiver and fluted barrel shaving ounces. Customers report sub-MOA groups with factory Hornady 212-grain ELD-X. One fella from Marion County said he shot a 0.6-inch group at 100 yards on his first range trip. That’s typical of what we hear.

The Good and the Bad

Pros ✅

  • Lightweight build: At 6 lb 8.5 oz on our bench scale, it’s one of the lightest .300 PRC rifles you can carry all day. Great for elk hunts in rough country.
  • Sub-MOA accuracy: In our testing and customer reports, it consistently shoots 0.5–0.75 MOA with match ammo. We’ve seen it do 0.6-inch groups at 100 yards.
  • Recoil management: The carbon stock and muzzle brake tame the .300 PRC to about .308 recoil levels. Our customers say it’s comfortable for 20-round sessions.
  • Build quality: We inspect every rifle before shipping. The Ridgeline FFT Ti consistently passes visual QC—clean machining, no burrs, proper Cerakote finish, and tight fit between stock and action.
  • Reorder rate: Since mid-2024, it’s been one of our most-reordered items. Customers come back for a second one in 6.5 PRC or .308. Staff noted that pattern early on.
  • Trigger: Adjustable down to 2.5 lb with a crisp break. No overtravel issues.

Cons ❌

  • Magazine fit: Some customers report the OEM AICS magazine is tight. A light sanding on the mag lips fixes it, but it’s a nuisance out of the box.
  • Stock adjustment: The cheek riser uses a hex key, not a tool-less system. For the price, we’d prefer quick-adjust.
  • Ammo cost: .300 PRC is expensive—$3–$4 per round for match loads. This isn’t a plinker.

Who It’s For

Buy if:

  • You need a lightweight rifle for long-range hunting—elk, mule deer, or steel out to 1,200 yards.
  • You want a .300 PRC that doesn’t beat you up and weighs under 7 pounds scoped.
  • You’re a reloader who wants to push 225-grain bullets at 2,900 fps.

Skip if:

  • You’re on a tight budget—this is a premium rifle at $2,843.
  • You shoot from a bench only and don’t care about weight—a Bergara HMR will save you $1,700.
  • You need a tool-less cheek riser or a detachable box mag with higher capacity.

What Buyers Ask

What’s the actual weight of this rifle?

We measured it at 6 lb 8.5 oz on our bench scale with an empty magazine. That’s without a scope. Add about 1.5 lb for a decent optic and rings, and you’re still under 8.5 lb total.

Does it come with a muzzle brake?

Yes. The Ridgeline FFT Ti includes a radial muzzle brake from the factory. It’s effective—cuts recoil by about 40%. You can swap it for a suppressor if you want, but the barrel is threaded 5/8×24.

What’s the twist rate and what bullets can I use?

1:8 twist. That stabilizes 190–225 grain bullets fine. We’ve seen customers shoot 212-grain ELD-X and 225-grain ELD-M with sub-MOA results. Heavier 230-grain Bergers might need a faster twist.

How accurate is it out of the box?

From our testing and 34 customer reviews averaging 4.6/5, most report 0.5–0.75 MOA with factory match ammo. One customer shot a 0.6-inch group at 100 yards on his first trip. It’s a shooter.

Where can I buy Christensen online?

You can buy the Christensen Arms Ridgeline FFT Ti right here at Indiana Gunshop. We’ve sold 76+ units since mid-2024 with a 4.6/5 satisfaction rating from 34 buyers. We ship from Indianapolis, IN, same day before 3 PM EST.

Is the stock adjustable for length of pull?

No. The carbon stock has an adjustable cheek riser (hex key), but length of pull is fixed at 13.5 inches. If you need LOP adjustment, look at a chassis rifle.

Does it use AICS magazines?

Yes. It comes with one Accurate-Mag (AICS pattern) 3-round magazine. They’re reliable, but some customers note the fit is tight. A quick pass with fine sandpaper on the mag lips solves it.
