Description
This is the Browning T-Bolt Target/Varmint SR in .22 LR with a 22-inch barrel. We started stocking this model in Q1 2025, and it’s become one of our steady sellers in this category. It’s built for shooters who need consistent accuracy at the range or in the field — straight-pull action keeps your cheek weld and follow-up shots fast. Staff note: “Packaging could be better — product itself is perfect, but the box is flimsy.” So don’t judge the rifle by its box. We’ve handled plenty of these, and they shoot tight groups right out of the gate.
Key Highlights
- Straight-Pull Action — Faster than a traditional bolt, no need to lift the handle. Just pull straight back and push forward.
- 22-inch Target/Varmint Barrel — Free-floated, button-rifled for sub-MOA accuracy with quality ammunition. Threaded with a factory-installed muzzle brake.
- Adjustable Trigger — Browning’s Pro-Feather trigger is crisp and user-adjustable from 2.5 to 5 pounds. Breaks clean with no creep.
- Spiral Fluted Bolt — Reduces weight and adds a bit of style. Bolt is also coated for smooth cycling.
- Synthetic Stock with Adjustable Comb — LOP and comb height can be dialed in for scope use. Textured grip panels help in wet conditions.

What Buyers Ask
Does this rifle come with a scope?
No, the T-Bolt Target/Varmint SR is sold as a rifle only. No iron sights either — it’s designed for scoped use. The receiver is drilled and tapped for standard .22 scope bases (included).
Is the muzzle brake removable?
Yes, the factory brake is threaded on (1/2×28) and can be removed if you want to run a suppressor or other muzzle device. Just be careful not to mar the finish — we recommend a strap wrench.
How does the straight-pull action compare to a traditional bolt?
It’s faster — you don’t lift the handle, just pull straight back and push forward. This keeps your eye on the target and your cheek on the stock. Some shooters find it smoother than a standard .22 bolt, especially when shooting from a bench.
