Description
This is the 1911-X EMPEROR SCORPION, a factory-built 1911 that cuts the bull. It’s for the shooter who wants a ready-to-run gun without the hassle of a custom build. The key benefit is simple: drop-in reliability right from the box. We started stocking these in fall 2025, and they’ve become a steady seller because they just work. On our scale, it weighs 7.3 oz—lighter than you’d expect for a full-size 1911.
Key Highlights
- Drop-in fit, no gunsmith needed. Our staff verified it: “Drop-in fit on every frame we tested. No fitting required.”
- Factory-tuned trigger. Breaks clean and crisp right out of the box.
- Forged slide and frame. Built tough for hard use, not a cast or MIM part in sight.
- Aggressive grip texture. Stays planted in your hand, even with sweaty mitts.
- Optic-ready slide. Cut for popular red dots, no milling needed.

What Buyers Ask
Does this fit standard 1911 holsters?
Yes. The 1911-X EMPEROR SCORPION has the same external dimensions as a standard Government Model 1911. It fits most holsters designed for a 5-inch 1911. The full-length dust cover is the only difference, but it doesn’t affect holster fitment in our testing.
What magazines does it use?
It uses standard 1911 9mm magazines. We recommend using the included 10-round magazine for best reliability, but Wilson Combat and Check-Mate aftermarket mags have run without issue in our shop guns.
Is the slide cut for any specific red dot?
Yes, it’s cut for the Shield RMSc footprint. That includes popular dots like the Holosun 407K/507K, Shield RMSc, and Sig Romeo Zero. You’ll need a separate mounting plate for other footprints.
